AhlulBayt News Agency: Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari, Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Forces, has announced significant advancements in the country’s Army Aerospace Force, stating that it has achieved self-sufficiency in producing strategic components and has successfully increased the range of its helicopter-launched missiles by seven times.
According to IRNA, speaking at a ceremony on Monday, Heidari emphasized the Aerospace Force’s critical role in supporting allied troops during combat, boosting operational morale, and maintaining battlefield effectiveness. He described the unit as one of the most advanced military forces in Southwest Asia, now further enhanced with cutting-edge night-vision technology.
Highlighting the evolving nature of warfare, Heidari stressed the increasing reliance on the Aerospace Force in military operations, noting that even guerrilla warfare tactics now heavily incorporate helicopters for strategic planning and execution.
